Ankon AI ("we", "Ankon AI") turns your input — a topic, a script, or an attached document — into a narrated whiteboard video. To produce that video we send your input and derived text to third-party AI model providers or process it on our own hosted server models. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect, who processes it, why, and how to delete it.

What we collect

Account: your email and a hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
Inputs: the topics, scripts, and files (including PDFs and reference images) you submit to generate videos.
Outputs: the generated scripts, scene visuals, narration audio, and finished videos.
Usage: credits held/spent, job status, and aggregated statistics for the admin dashboard and abuse prevention.
Device & connection: when you sign up or sign in, we derive a hardware device fingerprint from your browser's GPU, screen, CPU, and audio-stack signals (not your IP) to detect accounts created from the same device and prevent free-credit farming. We also log the request IP address and browser type for abuse review. These signals are stored only for abuse prevention and are visible to our staff, not other users.
Support: the subject and messages you send us through in-app support tickets, and our replies. Visible to our support staff and used only to resolve your request.
Payment: paid plans and top-ups are handled by our payment processor, Dodo Payments, who is the Merchant of Record — they process the charge, calculate and collect applicable tax at checkout, and issue invoices. We never receive or store your full card number; top-ups are one-time purchases through a secure hosted checkout.

How your input is processed (data routing)

Generating a video is a multi-step pipeline. Your input and the text we derive from it flow through these third parties at specific steps:

Script & visual generation — third-party AI model providers or our own hosted models. To write the script, plan scenes, generate scene visuals, and write headlines, we send your prompt and derived text to third-party AI model providers or process it on our own hosted server models, depending on the step. The provider or hosted model sees the prompt text and the generated response.Where a third-party provider is used, we send requests without project-attribution headers so they are not linked to Ankon AI on the provider's dashboard.
Voice narration — local, a third-party preset-voice provider, or a third-party cloning provider, by voice. Some built-in English voices narrate entirely on our own servers using a local open-source model — no narration data leaves our servers for those voices. The other built-in voices are narrated by a third-party preset-voice provider (reached through our model router): we send the narration text only (no reference clip, no voiceprint — a preset voice, not a clone). The narration text you hear is the same text already sent to our AI model providers for scripting, so no new text is disclosed beyond what the script step already processes. A local open-source fallback can narrate any voice on our own servers instead, used as an operator-controlled fallback for reliability. Optionally, you can record a short clip to clone your own voice. One clip narrates every one of the 13 supported languages in your voice (it's cross-lingual); for native pronunciation in a specific language, you can also record a native clip for just that one. That recording is biometric data: we store it on our servers, you consent before we keep it, and you can delete it (or any individual native recording) any time. To generate narration in your cloned voice, we send your clip to a third-party voice-synthesis provider for that render, alongside the narration text. The default uses no cloned voice.
Rendering — cloud compute and/or our own servers. The frames are assembled and encoded into an MP4 on third-party cloud compute or on our own render servers. Your job data (scenes, audio, intermediate frames) is held only for the duration of the render and removed on completion.
Storage — third-party cloud storage. Finished artifacts (your video and related files) are stored on third-party cloud storage and delivered to you via time-limited download links.
Email — a third-party transactional email provider. Transactional email (account, job-status, security) is sent through a third-party email provider, which processes the recipient address and message.

AI training & retention

We operate no foundation models of our own and we do not use your inputs to train any model. Your inputs are processed by our AI model providers under their own terms. Under the standard API terms of these providers, inputs submitted via their APIs are generally notused to train their models; we configure our accounts to opt out of training wherever the provider offers that setting. This is governed by each provider's terms, which may change — the current providers are listed in the data-routing section above.

Do not put information in your prompts that you are not willing to have processed by these providers — secrets, passwords, regulated personal data, or content you do not own the rights to. You are responsible for the content you submit.

Sub-processors

We rely on the third-party providers listed above — AI model providers and our own hosted server models for script and visual generation, our own local model for some English built-in voices, a third-party preset-voice provider for the other built-in voices, and a third-party voice-synthesis provider for cloned voices, cloud compute and our own servers for rendering, a third-party email provider for transactional email, and third-party cloud storage for file storage — to run the service. We do not sell your data. Dodo Payments processes payments, tax, and invoicing for paid plans and top-ups as our payment sub-processor.

Output privacy

Finished videos are scrubbed of host paths, encoder fingerprints, and metadata manifests before delivery. Images returned by providers have their container-level provenance and credit metadata (C2PA, XMP, text chunks) stripped losslessly. Files are served via time-limited links in production.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings — this immediately removes your personal data, voice clones, and private videos, cancels any active subscription, and forfeits any purchased credits. Public videos you shared remain in the gallery under an anonymized creator name. We retain a one-way (hashed) record of the deleted email for fraud prevention, and the records our payment processor (Dodo Payments, as Merchant of Record) requires for tax and accounting. You may also request access to, rectification of, or export of your data by emailing privacy@ankonai.com. If you are in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights, you may exercise access, rectification, erasure, and portability rights, and complain to your local supervisory authority. We act on verified requests within 30 days. Videos you generate are yours.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards with our sub-processors.
